Peace of mind for every stay. The BBNB8 Premium Security Fund helps cover eligible damages and disputes between Guests and Hosts, complementing deposits and house rules. It’s not insurance; it’s a platform-backed protection layer to keep bookings safe and fair.
How It Works
- Before booking: Listings disclose rules, deposits, and cancellation policy (Flexible / Moderate / Strict).
- During stay: Follow house rules and communicate issues via in-app messages.
- If something goes wrong: Open a support case within 48h of check-out with photos/evidence.
- Review & resolution: Our team reviews evidence, contacts both parties, and proposes a fair outcome.
- Payout/refund: When approved, refunds or host reimbursements are processed via our payment partner.
What’s Covered (Examples)
- Accidental damage to furniture, appliances, or fixtures.
- Key/lock replacement costs after verified loss.
- Unexpected cleaning or remediation aligned with the listing’s rules.
What’s Not Covered
- Normal wear and tear, pre-existing issues, or cosmetic defects.
- Cash, jewelry, collectibles, artwork, or items not documented in the listing.
- Business or consequential losses, loss of revenue, or force majeure events.
- Prohibited activities or rule violations (parties where banned, smoking where banned, pets where banned, etc.).
Eligibility
- Booking and payment completed on BBNB8.
- Verified account (ID may be required) and on-platform messaging for material communications.
- Evidence submitted within 48 hours of check-out (photos, receipts, chat logs, police report if applicable).
Claims Process
- Open a case: /en/support with reservation code, description, photos, and costs.
- Cooperate: Respond to our questions within 72h.
- Decision: We aim to resolve most cases within 10 business days.
Deposits & House Rules
Hosts can set refundable deposits and clear rules. Deposits may be used to offset approved claims. Always read the listing’s policies before booking.
Fraud & Safety
We use risk checks, ID verification, and payment screening. Fraud or abuse of the Fund may result in account suspension.
Limits & Disclaimers
- The Fund is not insurance and applies at BBNB8’s discretion within operational limits.
- Monetary caps and exclusions may apply per incident and per account.
